2. What do the abbreviations mean in your product names?
"ORG" means the seeds are certified organic.
"LOC" means the seeds were grown locally in Indiana.
"UNT" means the seeds are untreated (naturally grown but not certified organic).

3. Are your seeds genetically modified?
No.  We carry only non-GMO seed.  We are supporters of the Organic Seed Alliance and have signed the Safe Seed Pledge:
"Agriculture and seeds provide the basis upon which our lives depend. We must protect this foundation as a safe and genetically stable source for future generations. For the benefit of all farmers, gardeners and consumers who want an alternative,
We pledge that we do not knowingly buy or sell genetically engineered seeds or plants.
The mechanical transfer of genetic material outside of natural reproductive methods and between genera, families or kingdoms, poses great biological risks as well as economic, political, and cultural threats. We feel that genetically engineered varieties have been insufficiently tested prior to public release. More research and testing is necessary to further assess the potential risks of genetically engineered seeds. Further, we wish to support agricultural progress that leads to healthier soils, genetically diverse agricultural ecosystems and ultimately healthy people and communities."

4. Do you grow your own seed?

Most people are surprised to learn that the majority of seed companies buy their seeds from wholesale distributors.  Our sister company LIFE Certified Organic Farm grows about 10% of the seeds we sell and we plan to increase that amount every year.  We are also working to identify other farms in Indiana that can supply us with high quality seeds.  Until we have a strong local supply network, we will continue to purchase high quality organic seeds from national distributors.  Every variety we offer is field tested by LIFE Certified Organic Farm to ensure it will succeed in Midwestern gardens.

5. Why does your website looks funny in my browser?
